PRESS RELEASE: OSU Certificate of Leadership and Effective Management Offered Online

The Center for Executive and Professional Development will continue to hold its Certificate of Leadership and Effective Management seminars as an online program. These six webinars will be a continuation of the series and adapted to an online format.

The Certificate of Effective Management and Leadership program helps participants learn to build and work with teams, communicate with individuals inside and outside the organization and learn to effectively resolve various types of conflict within the workplace. Participants will gain practical, leadership skills to immediately bring back to their organization.

These sessions are taught by faculty from the OSU Spears School of Business. All webinars will be held from 9 – 10:30 a.m. The webinars topics are:

  • Persuasive Communication: Skills for Navigating the Workplace on May 6 and 7 with James Stapp, lecturer of business communication, Department of Management, Spears School of Business

  • Outperforming the Competition Through Employee Engagement on May 27 and 28 with Abbey Davis, MBA, Director, Eastin Center for Career Readiness, Spears School of Business

  • Basics of Social Media Branding on June 10 and 11 with Kinda Wilson, MBA, adjunct instructor, School of Marketing and International Business, Spears School of Business

  • Superstars! Understanding One’s Role and Team for Improved Performance on June 23 and 30 with Raj Basu, Ph.D., faculty, Department of Management, Spears School of Business

  • Time Care: Getting Control of Your Time and Your Life on June 24 and 25 with Mac McCrory, Ed.D., adjunct instructor, Department of Management, Spears School of Business

  • Developing Your Emotional Intelligence with Lex Smith Washington, Ph.D., associate professor, William S. Spears Chair in Business Administration, Department of Management, Spears School of Business. Date coming soon.
